It was stuck in a book to keep it flat and is in pretty good shape still considering it was done with a piece of 8×10 printing paper. I will dig around and see if I can’t find some more to post.

The Institute of Contemporary Arts and Minimaforms invite you to experience/participate in Memory Cloud.

Memory Cloud is one of the coolest technology/performance art installations I have seen in a while. An incredible transient light environment, Memory Cloud is based on smoke signals – one of the oldest forms of visual communication. For three nights the public will be invited to participate by sending text messages that will be grafted onto plumes of smoke. Fusing ancient and contemporary forms of communication, Memory Cloud creates a dynamic hybrid space that will project personal statements as part of an evolving text, animating the built environment through conversation. The method of textual inscription works with light as virtual ink that perceptually writes and erases through a cinematic interplay with the external environment. Memory Cloud aims to motivate social interaction through the construction of an environment that is given form through a collective act of writing space.

Turns out they are by John James Audubon.

John James Audubon, perhaps the most famous of American ornithologists, is undeservedly less well known for his wonderful work depicting The Quadrupeds of North America. With the success of his Birds of America, Audubon was inspired to do the same sort of work on the animals, with the assistance of his son, John Woodhouse Audubon. This resulted in the publication of the folio edition of The Viviparous Quadrupedsof North America, illustrating 150 species. As with the work on ornithology, this volume was later issued in octavo size, making it accessible to the general public.

These prints are from the quadrupeds edition.
